A step by step of a lord truffles commission...

Consultation (Recommended)

The consultation begins when you contact us. Contact us, and we'll be in touch to discuss the possibilities of your Royal Pet Portrait! 

Deposit 

A 25% deposit is required to initiate your portrait design. This deposit is non refundable.

Photo and Description Request

 After your deposit has been received, we will contact you to request high resolution images of your pet(s), as well as add your pet to the wait list and provide you with an ETA. Photos are preferred to be taken at: Their eye level, in focus and preferably in natural light. A 3/4 angle is very flattering.  

The Design

A photoshop comp/design is created and presented to you for your approval. 

Commission

When you have approved* your Royal Pet Portrait design - then you will be directed to your own private and secure commission order page (payments are made through the client's choice of Paypal or Stripe).  

* There can be no refunds on your deposit once your elaborate full color design/mockup has been approved.

The Painting

 The oil painting begins! Oil paints do not dry as quickly as other mediums and an adequate dry time is required. This does prolong the process but the briliiant results are worth it. (~3-6 weeks, depending on the size). An image of the final painting can be sent to you if requested. 

Shipping

Please make sure your shipping address is correct. Clients will be responsible for extra shipping charges in the case of listing an incorrect address.

The portraits are carefully packed and ship through the client's preferred shipping carrier and service.

Lord Truffles paintings have all arrived safely to their homes, however; should any damage incur during transit, please contact us immediately and provide us with photos so we may assess it. The client may be asked to return the painting so that it can be repaired at our soonest availability.   

Lord Truffles is not responsible for any loss during shipment, as would also be a loss for us. Replacements will be assessed by a case by case basis. If your local delivery service is prone to lost packages, please recommend another carrier/ and or signature confirmation. 

*Lord Truffles lists the accurate item value on international invoices, and will not mark the item as a gift. Lord Truffles is not responsible for any delays, duties and taxes. Please contact your local customs office for more information. 

 


How long does the portrait take?

Each custom portrait is different. So an estimated date of completion will be provided for each client. 


What are they painted with?

 Professional grade oil paints and materials.


What is the surface?

The portraits are painted on birch wood panels (because of their vastly superior archival qualities).


What painting sizes do you provide?

Anything you desire. Common smaller sizes include: 8x10", 9x12", 11x14", 16x20". 


Are the portraits framed?

 No. Our framing service is not available at this time due to frame stock shortages.


Do you offer expedited work?

Expedited service can be negiotated per case basis . 


Do you ship internationally?

Yes. 


Are all the paintings custom portraits?

Yes, each portrait is one of kind.


Do you share the portraits?

Yes. Lord Truffles retains all rights to the artworks, and may use photographs of the paintings in progress, as well as the final portrait towards promotional use. Please let us know if your commission is a surprise gift, and we will refrain from sharing any photos until it's been gifted!
